FAQ

Can I just drop my kid off? Do I have to stay for practices?

We prefer and encourage you to stay for practice and be involved with your child learning the sport of baseball. We understand the hectic schedules of parents, but always ask you to make arrangements for someone to be responsible, for the safety of your child.  The volunteer Coaches cannot be the decision maker in the case of an emergency. This could be another household member, babysitter, or even a teammate's parent or guardian.

Do we need to practice outside of the weekly practice and games?

It is not required, however, it is enormously helpful for the development of your child. You don't have to rent a batting cage or buy tons of equipment. Simply playing catch, tossing ground balls, or doing light batting practice with soft toss or off a tee, outside of the normal game, and practice schedule will do wonders for the improvement of your child's skill sets. It doesn't have to be a lot, but the more you and your child put into it, the more you get back in return.

What if my kid really wants to play and I can't afford it?

You will need to contact our office to discuss your options.

What's the rain out policy?

In the event of rain, the following is the procedure:

1.     Assume the game is on until you hear from your coach.  Our fields drain well, and we work hard to get all games played.

2.    In the event a game is called due to rain, the game will be made up at the earliest open slot.  Saturday rainouts will be held on Sunday after 2:00PM

3.    We do not have field time for a canceled practice to be made up.

Can my child play up or down a level?

No child can play down. We cannot have an older child playing with younger kids.

If you and your child feel like you need to play up an age level, you will still sign up for your age group and state that you would like to play up.  At the skills test, he will try out in his age group and the coaches will make the recoronation to the league on where he should be placed.

Can My Child play on the same team as his friend?

Maybe.  There is no way we can guarantee that your child will be able to play with his friend.  Our goal will always be for the teams (all of them) to be skill-balanced. As the coaches draft each team, we try to accommodate requests, but it may not work out.  We understand sometimes there are ride share issues, however, having the teams as even as possible is more important.

Can I request a practice Day?

Once all the teams are drafted, the coaches pick a practice day that works for them.  There is no way to guarantee a practice day.
